Among the events scheduled for the Gwinnett Arena this summer: women’s football. Again.

The Atlanta Steam of the Legends Football League (LFL) will play home games at the Duluth arena again in 2014 — on June 7 and Aug. 16, according to the event calendar. LFL teams play a four-game schedule.

The team in the rebranded Lingerie Football League played two home dates in Gwinnett last year, and plans to bring its style of football back. In the LFL, football is seven-on-seven, and the players wear “performance wear.”

The league is not shy about its marketing appeal. According to a recent Facebook post, it plans a “hottest of all time” event in March 2014.

I never knew we had this in Atlanta! I will have to go to a game and support the girls.

Alannah, from what I can tell, the games and the fans are quite spirited. — Steve
