I was there last weekend, my fourth visit to the area, and things were relatively tame. I stayed at the Tropicana and cruised (half of) the strip.
OK, the big sin comes first. The pic you see above is of three of the seven topless dancers from “Fantasy,” a high-end topless musical being performed at the Luxor casino. (This is post-performance.) It was my first such show since seeing “Folies Bergere” in 1995. Hey, there were plenty of respectable females in the audience, OK? Bravo.
My favorite venue was Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville cafe, part of the Flamingo casino on the Strip. Like me, Buffett is a journalism school grad, but he has quite a bit more money. LOL!
The weather was pleasant. Spring or fall would be the best times to visit Sin City.
Some trivia:
–Michael Jackson has moved to Vegas, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
–$100 is the lowest common denominator for ATMs in Vegas.
–Tropicana has swim-up blackjack.
–Charles, a bartender at Caesars Palace, was born in France.
Bye for now …
